The Mapmakers Retreat

The world is making new maps.
This retreat is for the people drawing them.

A small, invitation-only gathering for founders, executives, creatives, and visionaries who feel the civilisational shift — and want the space, the clarity, and the company to figure out what that means for them.

Two and a half days. Beautiful location. Carefully curated group. Practical, soulful, strategic. You'll leave knowing your north star and how to act on it.

Something is shifting

The problem with most career advice right now is that it starts too small.

What company should I start? What role should I step into? What's my personal brand? What's my next move?

These are the wrong first questions.

When you're at a turning in history, you need to locate yourself in the civilisational moment first — understand the era you're actually living inside — and then figure out what that means for you, your work, and your next chapter.

That's what this retreat is.

Who this is for

You are operating at the leading edge — in your field, your organisation, or your own creative work. You think in systems. You hold big visions.

But even the most aligned work can start to feel slightly off-key when everything around it is changing. Not wrong — just craving an evolution so it can meet the moment.

You hold a puzzle piece of the future. Your job is not to understand or carry everything — none of us can, and the moment we forget that, overwhelm hits almost immediately. Your job is to find what's on your piece, and then find the people with adjacent ones.

That's a lot of what happens here.

You might be a founder at an inflection point. An executive who's outgrowing their current container. A creative whose work is deepening in ways they can't quite name yet. A leader who senses their next chapter is bigger — and wants the courage and clarity to step into it.

What everyone in the room has in common: you don't just navigate change. You shape it.

What happens

This isn't a conference. It's not a workshop. It's not a spa weekend with a bit of journaling thrown in.

It's two and a half days of the most useful thinking you'll do all year — held in a beautiful place, with a small group of remarkable people, facilitated by someone whose gift is taking the meta and making it practical.

We move through three arcs:

Locate. We zoom out. What is actually happening in the world right now — economically, culturally, technologically? Where are we in the arc of this shift? Not everyone is here to fight the system — we need builders and healers and consciousness-shifters just as much as we need activists. Where do you sit inside it?

Reconnect. We go inward. What is your particular genius? What are you here to midwife into this next chapter? Purpose, as I understand it, is not heavy or duty-laden — it's an animating force. It gives you energy just to think about it. It makes you more yourself. If it feels like a burden, it's probably not yours. We find what is.

Commit. We get concrete. What is your single guiding intention for this chapter? What are the bold moves you're ready to make — and what has been stopping you? You'll leave with clarity, courage, and a plan you actually want to follow.

There will be coaching, conversation, ceremony, laughter, silence, and nature. It won't be all-woo all day — but we won't be pretending that strategy alone is enough either.

Expect: depth and direction, lashings of strategy, a wink of mischief, and a hefty sprinkle of magic.

What previous attendees say

"I am more ready, even than I knew." — Ex-President, WPP

"I am truly, deeply enough. Trusting that I can have fun and be successful — grateful for this experience that was a little witchy and incredibly grounding." — CMO, Startup Founder

"I'm ready to loosen the reins and trust the good in my life is real. I'm leaving on a higher and more nourished plane." — Civic Entrepreneur, Senior Advisor to the Aspen Institute

"I'm leaving more confident, with more faith in the process and empowered with a reframe that makes this time in my life feel important." — ED, Major Art Foundation

What you'll take away

And something harder to name but easy to feel: the particular calm that comes from knowing who you are, what you're for, and what you're doing next.

The logistics

Retreats are held at beautiful properties — think: nature, good food, a fire, a sauna.

Groups are deliberately small — never more than 6 — to preserve the depth and quality of connection.

Dates and locations are announced to the interest list first.

Future retreats are being planned for Upstate NY, Big Sur, and the UK — fill out the form to tell me where you'd most want to gather.

A note from Katharine

For years I was looking for a room where you could dance between AI and democracy and the gasps of broken capitalism, and ask what all of it means for how we live and lead. A room where ancestral lineage and the feminine sit comfortably alongside systems thinking and strategy. Where emerging questions about consciousness aren't fringe curiosities — they're central to the inquiry.

I went looking for it. It wasn't quite there.

So I built it.

This retreat is the culmination of a strange and winding path: growing up in post-Soviet Poland and Russia, two degrees in politics, philosophy, and economics, years of deep coaching training, and a long love affair with science fiction as a way to try on different futures.

It turns out it was all training for this one thing: helping brilliant people locate themselves inside history, and feel the power that follows from plugging into the moment.

That's what we do here. I bring the framework, the facilitation, and the synthesis. You bring the question you haven't quite been able to answer yet.

The rest takes care of itself.
